Irbid Bus: Public Transportation Platform
Two-sided transportation platform with a Flutter passenger app for real-time bus tracking on map and a Kotlin driver app for route and capacity management, fully bilingual in Arabic and English.
The Challenge
Public bus transportation in Irbid lacked any digital tracking, forcing passengers to wait at stops with no visibility into bus locations, arrival times, or available capacity.
Our Approach
Developed two native apps: a Flutter passenger app with real-time Google Maps bus tracking, route browsing, and arrival estimates, plus a Kotlin/Jetpack Compose driver app for route management, passenger capacity updates, and location broadcasting via Firebase.
The Outcome
A real-time public transit solution giving Irbid passengers live bus tracking and arrival estimates, while providing drivers and the municipality with route management and capacity monitoring tools.
