The Challenge

Commercial baby monitors are expensive, require dedicated hardware, and send data through third-party cloud servers, which raises privacy and security concerns for parents.

Our Approach

Built a phone-to-phone baby monitor using WebRTC for peer-to-peer HD video/audio over local WiFi, TensorFlow Lite with YAMNet for on-device AI cry detection, AES-256 encryption for all streams, and a built-in lullaby player, all running locally with zero cloud involvement.
